    History

The Gates Millennium Scholars Alumni Association was established in 2009 to make certain Alumni across the country are connected through activities led by selected Alumni Leaders. Through an array of events and modes, including regional Alumni gatherings, social media, and webinars, the Association seeks to ensure that the GMS Alumni community remains strong, connected, and supportive of fostering leaders in action across the nation.

The GMSAA is represented nation-wide by the GMS Alumni Advisory Council composed of an Executive Committee and Regional Advisors. The Advisory Council is comprised of Alumni from every major geographical location across the United States.

    A Life-Long Connection

The Alumni Association is a national network of GMS Alumni, connected through this online community, various social and business networking sites, regional events and gatherings, including support and services.

If you are a GMS Alumnus, you are already a member of the Association. A GMS Scholar becomes an Alumnus after receiving their bachelor's degree.

The Alumni Association is maintained with support from the GMS Program. It is a self-governed structure with a Council comprised of elected and/or appointed Alumni.
